For more than 30 years CGS Machine has been instilling the family atmosphere in a machine shop setting out to create an inviting environment centered around quick, efficient, and quality work. A true family-owned business, CGS is a sister company to Kentucky Machine and Engineering in Cadiz, Ky., which has been in business and part of the Allen family for more than 50 years.

In all, the two thriving companies feature nearly 100 employees with the average years of experience sitting at an incredible 22 years! CGS and KME create a unique blend of experience and knowledge, mixed with a blend of youth that is instilling new and innovative program opportunities to the job shop world.

Starting in a small shop in Russellville, Ky., CGS noticed a unique opportunity to be nestled right off the Natcher Parkway in Bowling Green, which creates quick access to I-65 South to Nashville, or I-65 North to Louisville. With a long list of customers along this corridor, CGS made the move to Bowling Green in 2004 and has never looked back. CGS has opened (2) 25,000 square foot facilities, with the main location at Griffin Dr. housing the true job shop, and the second facility located less than (1) mile away which is home to Peak Precision Manufacturing.

With a customer base that spans more than 300 strong across multiple states, CGS has built a reputation for always finding a way to get the job done. Customers have learned that when emergencies happen, CGS is the first and best phone call. With capabilities ranging from five-axis turning, horizontal boring mills, CNC milling cells, large and small scale fabrication and even production machining, CGS has built a business centered around servicing nearly every need a manufacturing customer could have.

In 2024, CGS Machine celebrated its 30th anniversary in business, partnering with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce to highlight not only 30 years of business, but also 30 years of exceptional team members and customers.
