We are part of a trusted partnership with Kentucky Machine & Engineering and Peak Precision Manufacturing. Each shop stands on its own and shares the same standards. Our Story

For more than 30 years, CGS Machine has been instilling a family atmosphere in a machine shop setting, creating an inviting environment centered on quick, efficient, quality work. A true family-owned business, CGS is a sister company to Kentucky Machine and Engineering in Cadiz, Kentucky, which has been in business and part of the Allen family for more than 50 years.

In all, the two thriving companies feature nearly 100 employees with an average of 22 years of experience. CGS and KME create a blend of experience and knowledge, mixed with the energy of a younger team that brings new and innovative programs to the job shop world.

Starting in a small shop in Russellville, Kentucky, CGS saw the opportunity to locate near the Natcher Parkway in Bowling Green, which provides quick access to I-65 south to Nashville and north to Louisville. With a long list of customers along this corridor, CGS moved to Bowling Green in 2004 and has never looked back. CGS has opened two 25,000 square foot facilities, with the main location on Griffin Drive housing the job shop, and the second facility located less than one mile away, which is home to Peak Precision Manufacturing.

With a wide customer base across multiple states, CGS has built a reputation for finding a way to get the job done. When emergencies happen, customers know CGS is the first and best call. With capabilities that include five-axis turning, a large CNC horizontal boring mill, CNC milling cells, small and large-scale fabrication, and production machining, CGS is built to support nearly every need a manufacturer may have.

In 2024, CGS Machine celebrated its 30th anniversary in partnership with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, honoring three decades of exceptional team members and customers.
